We are seeking an Evening, Overnight and Weekend Supervisor for our Apartment Treatment program in Harlem.


SUMMARY: Directly supervise residence counselors, manage the shifts and work closely with Program Director to ensure team members are abreast of all critical issues pertaining to assigned consumers. Supervisor must work closely with the Program Director to ensure that the Agency’s mission is upheld.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Include the following and other duties that may be assigned.

Directly supervise Residence Counselors provide educational training as needed and assist with the training of new staff. Responsible for managing the shifts and ensuring that shifts are adequately covered on a daily basis. Provide restorative services to a caseload of 10 consumers. Ensure that restorative services that are provided by Residence Counselors effectively meet OMH, Medicaid and Agency Standards. Assist the Program Director with the day to day program operations. Conduct intake/assessments as needed and ensure that consumers are provided with services for transitioning to permanent housing. Ensure that consumers’ needs are met during the shift and facility needs are addressed in a timely manner. Collaborate with the building Superintendent to conduct facility walk through and ensure all consumer work orders are addressed. Follow up on reported incidents and grievances. Ensure that all incidents are documented in AWARDS in a timely manner; report all reportable incidents to the Justice Center within 24 hours. Ensure that data is entered properly into all database systems. Follow-ups are done accordingly. Attend administrative meetings when assigned. Facilitate one weekly psycho educational group. Take on and manage any additional tasks or assignments given by the Program Director. Provides Preventive interventions to reduce unnecessary de-compensation, hospitalizations and relapse and clearly document all contacts and interventions in AWARDS. Monitor the safety and well-being of all consumers by ensuring that they are living in a safe and clean environment. Carry out directives and instructions given by the Program Director in a timely manner. Adhere to all agency policies and procedures. Communicate effectively and respectfully with Executive, Supervisory staff and Team members.


QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field, a minimum of three years’ experience working with adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness with or without a history of substance abuse and some supervisory experience preferred. Good interpersonal and writing skills are required. Good computer skills.
