We are currently seeking a Maintenance Worker for a residential building in Harlem.
SUMMARY: Assist in maintaining a safe and clean facility, and assist in repairs generated through work orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Follows maintenance schedule
Cleans internal and external areas of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping and mopping.
Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for pickup.
Paints interior walls and trim.
Operates snow removal equipment to maintain sidewalks.
Assists in plastering, painting, window insulation etc.
Maintenance of administrative and program space
Assist other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Work at various sites within the organization when assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). One to Three years’ experience in housing maintenance, household repairs whether in residential facility or housing complex. Some knowledge of applicable State and City housing law and codes.
